In the world today, what you wear will basically tell your story and beliefs. Although people often misjudge the ways others dress, it is still important to know whether or not you are wearing the right kind of fashion in your body. For me, being a rocker really gives me an identity like no other and helps me a lot in identifying and creating new fashion combinations that will surely make me stand out of the crowd.

But how do you define rock fashion? To tell you the truth, it is greatly influenced by the type of music it denotes. Usually, rock fashion has been characterized as peculiar and dark, but most people do not understand is that no matter how odd a thing is, it gives character to a person and is still expected to give him or her a chance in society. So if you happen to be interested in exploring the world of rock fashion, here are genres of rock music that greatly influenced how rockers where clothes today.

Goth

Goth was made popular by the new wave band the Cure in the 80’s and have given birth to punk, emo and other rock fashions. Characterized by dark, all black attires and sometimes incorporated with heavy white make up and some black eye liners, Goth fashion is obviously recognized. So if you are into dark colors and medieval stuff, then this is the fashion trend for you.

Grunge

Grunge Fashion is usually characterized by that early morning look, messy hair, torned jeans, and a laid back attitude. Made popular by the band Nirvana, Grunge music later turned into a hit fashion lifestyle that influenced many rockers to just go out and where what they find in their closets.

Emo

Characterized by eye liners, long, one sided hairstyles with bangs, deep eye liners and black manicured finger nails, Emo fashion has been a hit among teenagers and is popularly practiced until this day. A branch of Goth, Emo fashion addicts have evolved through time and have incorporated new colors to their shirts, pants and kicks.

Punk

Characterized by their rebellious nature, colorful and out of the ordinary hairstyle, sweet looking accessories and lively colored shirts, pants and shoes, Punk music has been rocking the fashion world since the early 90’s and is still influencing today’s youth. Some also bring in the likes of nose rings , septum piercing and other ear piercings to the statement.

Metalheads

And who would forget metal fashion? It’s simply wearing a Black Shirt with a heavy metal band on it, your choice of pants or shorts, black chucks and that long chain with spiked bracers around your wrists. Some metalheads usually incorporate nose rings, ear piercings, and other jewelry to make them look more, how do I put this, metal. And also, leather black jackets, high leather boots with studs and long hair for headbanging are trademarks of this rather dark but insanely fun fashion trend.
