As we travel this diverse universe of chaos and outrage, we often tend to become other beings in the process. Millions and millions of years of evolution has combined with Mother Nature’s sheer will to define something new, unique and full of erratic expectations. An explosion of unexpected living color ignites the world, giving a new perspective of culture and diversity. It provided options, choices and recognized the uncontrollable aspect of human personality, thus, Punk fashion was born.

As a kid, I grew up listening to Avril Lavigne, Greenday, Blink 182, Wheatus and the likes, that explains my choice of lifestyle and fashion trend. Music influenced me greatly and I thank God everyday that he molded me into this punk loving, rebellious looking, head banging gal with eyes fixed on looking good. It is safe to say that being a young at heart helps me get through a bad hair and clothing day as well us keeps me inspired to become better at what I do, or should I say what I wear.

Now if your that kind of person who listens to punk rock, heavy headbanging metal music but is still struggling with fashion identity, then I suggest that you heed my advice and start remembering the factors of punk fashion.

The Hairstyle

First and foremost, your hairstyle will definitely be a big factor when it comes to punk fashion. You can go for the classic Mohawk or the ever popular Manic Panic, but nowadays, a combination of Messy Bangs, long angled cuts, and curls with shaved sides are the way to go. Add a dash of your favorite hair dye and you are on your way to punk country. Remember, the more peculiar, the more acceptable it is.

Accessories

Having accessories is a necessity in the punk fashion world, since it gives extra identity to the wearer and defines what kind of personality that one has. Bracers, Belt Chains, Chokers, Studs, Skull Rings, Studded belts, pretty septum rings, nose rings and other piercings is definitely considered punk. You don’t have to get them all, just try one or two and become your own unique rock star.

Them Kicks

Shoes are highly important as well. your choice of kicks will definitely play a factor in the punk fashion scene. I would recommend that instead of running shoes or sports sneakers, choose good old Chuck Taylors, Slip Ons and Skate Shoes.

Lower Clothing

Lower Clothing are like the base of the cake in punk fashion, that is why it is very important to choose them wisely. Usually, I would recommend denim jeans, but nowadays, you can wear almost anything as except slacks of course. A combination of leggings and short skirts, as well as a dash of knee torned jeans will get along just fine with any color. But you can always be creative and add your own signature design to them.
